The first Platinum workplace in the world

A new Warsaw hub inside the Norblin Factory — and a chance to get accessibility right before opening day. Margot Slattery, ISS’s Global Head of D&I, asked Jan Pawlik to assess the office while it was still on the drawing board, so improvements could be made before a single employee walked in.

Pawlik walked the building with the assessment tool on his smartphone — answering questions, taking photos, capturing measurements. Under three hours for every area: parking, entrances, bathrooms, meeting rooms. The score appeared in real time; 48 hours later, a full report with CapEx-light and CapEx-intensive recommendations.

9.6 out of 10 — the world’s first Platinum workplace. Wide passageways, a lowered reception desk, visual-impairment-friendly colour schemes, ramps to every terrace. And a cultural shift: ISS is building a training system and solutions catalogue to turn what Warsaw started into a worldwide ISS standard.
