buildings scored on one standard — replacing self-graded spreadsheets

Every

employee can check a building’s accessibility in the reservation platform before they go

Day 0

candidates see building accessibility features before they even join

The starting point

The mandate came from the CEO down: inclusivity is core to who Accenture is. But the method didn’t match the ambition — teams self-assessed every office on a big Excel spreadsheet. It surfaced insights, but as Lisette Smyrnios puts it, “we were essentially self-grading — grading ourselves on a curve.” With ADA, the European Accessibility Act and more to reconcile, even agreeing one set of questions that made sense across the globe was a roadblock.

The rollout

Mobility Mojo replaced the spreadsheet with a third-party standard: one scoring methodology, one set of questions, worldwide. Accenture’s own teams ran the assessments in the app — “there was a lot of positive feedback about that” — and every building landed in one dashboard, viewed holistically for the first time.

The result

Data that directs capital — prioritising the actions with the best value on real budgets. And data that travels: building accessibility information now sits in Accenture’s reservation platform for every employee, is being opened to interviewing candidates, and — because reports include photographs — gives neurodivergent colleagues a calming preview of exactly what to expect. That same data foundation now powers natural-language AI search across Accenture’s platforms.

It was the first time we were able to reach every single employee at Accenture.

WHY IT WORKED

What made the difference

A standard, not a mirror

Third-party scoring replaced self-grading on a curve — one methodology every region could trust and compare against.

Built for the people doing it

Accenture’s own teams assessed in the app instead of a spreadsheet — and told the workplace team how much better it was.

Data where people already are

Building information flowed into the reservation platform and candidate journey — reaching people at the moment of need, not in a report.
